Pros

Handful of really good people there.

Cons

Reviews must depend on the department because my experience was far from positive. Besides the typical corporate politics and favoritism (which there is plenty of at Cigna), the work is extremely high stress, hours are long, deadlines are short, process is disorganized, leadership is non-existent, zero transparency, no communication, and every man is for himself. No acknowledgment if you go above and beyond, but people jump at the chance to point out the slightest flaw in your work. Insurance benefits are not as good as you'd think they'd be, and there's the constant threat of layoffs. I had high hopes at first, but left extremely disappointed, exhausted, disrespected, and bewildered. Not worth the toll it takes on your mental and physical health.

Pros

The Cigna Group overall is a fantastic company to work for! They invest in their employees and do a great job ensuring everyone, in all departments/locations/teams feel as if they matter with the multitude of perks they offer to employees. Many team members were knowledgeable, hardworking, and genuinely committed to supporting the healthcare industry.

Cons

While employed at Cigna healthcare, I experienced a work environment that often lacked consistent communication, balanced workload distribution, and transparent leadership practices. High-performing employees were frequently expected to absorb additional responsibilities without corresponding support, while shifting expectations and excessive micromanagement created unnecessary stress and instability. Over time, this impacted morale, trust within teams, and overall employee well-being.
