Remote and mainly autonomous with little micromanagement, but low pay. - Customer Service Advocate The Cigna Group Employee Review

Pros

Work from home position with all equipment included. Six weeks training and generous PTO

Cons

Upper management, hands-down decisions that contradict promises made during on boarding, and there is a constant change of direct supervisors to hold accountable for assurances that can no longer be met. Computer equipment and software used is generally pretty good, but when there is an issue, it’s snowballs and they end up using your PTO vacation time to cover for downtime where their equipment does not work, and the employee is in no way at fault. To add insult to injury, management will actually give you written or verbal warnings for going over the allotted amount of time to deal with tech issues regardless of who’s fault it is.

Pros

The Cigna Group overall is a fantastic company to work for! They invest in their employees and do a great job ensuring everyone, in all departments/locations/teams feel as if they matter with the multitude of perks they offer to employees. Many team members were knowledgeable, hardworking, and genuinely committed to supporting the healthcare industry.

Cons

While employed at Cigna healthcare, I experienced a work environment that often lacked consistent communication, balanced workload distribution, and transparent leadership practices. High-performing employees were frequently expected to absorb additional responsibilities without corresponding support, while shifting expectations and excessive micromanagement created unnecessary stress and instability. Over time, this impacted morale, trust within teams, and overall employee well-being.
