Pros

Cigna's leadership is sharp. The CEO David Cordani is a brilliant guy and he seems to surround himself with very sharp and capable people. They are heavily geared toward growth and always looking for ways to expand upon current offerings to strategically tie them to new opportunities to increase revenue and earnings. Pay is good and benefits are good too. Good performance is usually recognized but...

Cons

Cigna is a LARGE company and politics are a huge element of climbing the ladder. Also remember that large companies have to contain a certain amount of political correctness too so if that's not your bag you may find it a little off-putting as Cigna has more than their fare share. Sometimes there are territorial maneuverings among certain leaders/divisions which can cause frustration at the Director, Manager and Associate level due to mission creep but it kind of goes with the territory.

Pros

The Cigna Group overall is a fantastic company to work for! They invest in their employees and do a great job ensuring everyone, in all departments/locations/teams feel as if they matter with the multitude of perks they offer to employees. Many team members were knowledgeable, hardworking, and genuinely committed to supporting the healthcare industry.

Cons

While employed at Cigna healthcare, I experienced a work environment that often lacked consistent communication, balanced workload distribution, and transparent leadership practices. High-performing employees were frequently expected to absorb additional responsibilities without corresponding support, while shifting expectations and excessive micromanagement created unnecessary stress and instability. Over time, this impacted morale, trust within teams, and overall employee well-being.
