Pros
Everyone at the property I shadowed at for my day in the field was very welcoming and positive. The pay is very competitive.
Cons
Within the first two days of working there one of the employees pulled me into a room and vented to me about how little The Connor Group cares about its tenants. An associate openly racially profiled people coming to tour the apartments “I’m not trying to sound racist, but I know their type can’t afford these”. They told me throughout the interview process that they’d work with me and place me at the most appropriate property based on my distance, then proceeded to place me at the farthest possible location a week before my start date more than doubling my commute. They talk about their extensive 4 week training program, but then had me on the phone making calls on my 2nd day with zero knowledge of their property. From what I gathered in my short time there The Connor Group cares about filling up apartments and then selling and moving on.
