Pros
- The students are lovely and kind.
- Lesson materials are prepared for you.
Cons
- The staff (which teachers/tutors are not considered part of) are demanding, belittling, and have no respect for the tutors that fund their business and keep it running. In the little time I've worked here, I've been spoken down to by my team leader and members of the administration team multiple times. The only kind people I have spoken to were members of the quality team and my recruiter.
- Pay is low (R85/hour). If you're unable to attend a class or miss a class, your pay is docked (e.g. if you've worked 6 hours but miss 2 classes, your penalty is minus 4 hours, meaning you only get paid for 2 hours despite working 6).
