Pros

The students are the best part

Cons

Faison is a very dangerous environment with a lack of support, which leads to more frequent injuries. I have sustained severe tissue damage from bites, and have even needed surgery due to multiple other injuries. The students are wonderful; I worked at Faison for two years because I didn’t want to leave them. There is no support from admin. The newer buildings are gaudy for the purpose of image, but actively cause sensory overload for many of the students. Working at Faison took a huge toll on my physical and emotional health. When I was hospitalized for a physical injury, all that admin cared about was when I would be coming back to work.

Pros

Working with the residents is amazing, Work/Life balance is great Pay is good for what's expected of you. Room to grow.

Cons

Leadership is too micromanaging. They do not listen when people (not myself) with more actual experience working with clients explain an issue a client is facing and will let it slide. Also they do not care if your work with the residents is great, building a rapport with them if you dont follow the management's arbitrary rules and guidelines that go across the board from the school to the residence even if the residence is a wholly different animal.
