Pros

Since joining The Guild, I have been thoroughly impressed with my experience. The company has culture that is one part optimistic startup and one part established hospitality company. Everyone on the team is on a mission to create a global travel brand, making it a really exciting place to spend your work week. Speaking of the team, everyone is actually a genuine pleasure to work with - from the co-founders, to the managers, to the central operations team, and the market operations teams. Working with this group of people actually makes me excited to come to work each morning. Aside from the day-to-day of work, the company benefits are amazing. We get incredible health insurance that is 99% covered by the company, stock options, and unlimited PTO.

Cons

The workload can be a bit greater than larger corporate companies (it is a startup after all), but it is manageable and worth it at the end of the day.

Pros

The people I worked with. Very nice and professional. Everyone I worked with went above and beyond for each other while on site, and we worked as a team. The bonuses were great when the company is doing well. breakfast is served some days, and the company aims to keep everyone in the know. There are good employee perks and benefits, discounts in other cities. You will meet a lot of travelers and there are company outings that the company offers often.

Cons

They try but the biggest issue with this company is that they can't keep up with the demand and everything suffers accordingly. I've been told this the case for the past 3+ years. The Guild is VERY understaffed and has a high turnover rate from employees to housekeeping. Guest facing employees are stressed out every day and there is not a manager on any site to support. You WILL be expected to do multiple positions most days (esp during call-outs or if they fire without replacing, which is done often). People that have positions in the office seem content, but on the field it's really another story. There is no room to switch into a different department so opportunities for growth just won't happen, because they will need you exactly where you are.
