Pros

I really like working at the Home Depot. I have worked here for 5.5 years and its getting me through college. They do tuition help which is amazing. The managers are always so wonderful and understanding that I am in school and help me with my schedule. For example, I started a residency at a hospital that was overnights. I worked with them and they moved all my shifts and helped me find coverage. My supervisor is my favorite. Everyone is easy to get along with.

Cons

As with any big store, there is always minor drama going around. If you avoid the drama it will avoid you. I have had rare issues and those were all resolved promptly. If you work full-time they are a little less flexible with your schedule which is good to remember.

Pros

The company as a whole actually strives to uphold the “Values Wheel”. Hard work, a positive attitude, integrity, and personal responsibility actually pay off. There’s plenty of opportunity to grow and be promoted. It’s doubtful you’ll find a better retail workplace.

Cons

A job is a job. People are still people. There are always things we don’t like or ways a job can improve. Sometimes those things won’t change. There’s always politics but there are structures in place to prevent or successfully address toxicity.

Pros

Associates who work on property are extremely friendly, customer service aspect is great, and good technology

Cons

ridiculous policies can put security staff in danger, poor management who does not follow there own policies or have knowledge of them, blatant sexism and favoritism, low pay, no chance for advancement because of gender discrimination and favoritism towards certain employees, many security staff sleep on the job regularly and commit misconduct without any repercussions, absolutely zero accountability, badging software is very slow, and computers and cameras go out regularly and the IT staff can take a long time to respond, vehicles break down all the time and have no heat or air conditioning, it can be extremely hot or cold working in the lobbies and consoles, people can trespass on property very easily
