Pros
Individual leaders are okay, but executive management not so much.
Cons
Benefits. We were given a couple of days to complete open enrollment because they didn’t get it out until late December. That’s just one example of how they never prioritize what matters to employees. When I left a few weeks in to the year, the FSAs were not yet funded as promised. Perks. You get a half of a bagel every month in exchange for 45 hours per week minimum. They’ve installed software to know if you stop working for even a moment. And being on a work phone call doesn’t count. Reviews. In the couple of years I was at LCF, I never got a single performance review or feedback on how I was doing. No raises for anyone so you better negotiate your salary when you start because that’s all you’ll get. Advocates. I think management is scared of the CEO. I never felt that my boss would defend me if needed. Employee communications. Someone started an employee newsletter. It is mostly fluff, but I guess it’s better than nothing. It would be nice to occasionally hear from any of the leaders in the organization rather than the HR girl putting together a few random updates.
