Pros

From day one I felt very welcomed and part of the team. Training is provided based on need so I was not stuck in a classroom for weeks like in other jobs.

Cons

Building is older and in need of an update. 90 days to qualify for holiday pay. 1 year before PTO.

Pros

The atmosphere is very casual. I've worked in positions before where they monitored everything you did for every minute of the day. The Local Pages lays off your back and doesn't give you a daily plan on what you need to be doing every minute. You have your specific projects that need to be completed and as long as they are finished on time and are done well, you are able to do it at your best pace.

Cons

There is no reward for loyalty from management. Management does not know my name; every time I pass one of the "higher ups" in the halls I get a "Hey man". I've been here for over two years, my job duties have increase I've made a few suggestions that have been implemented, but yet I'm still making my original wage. My job title has stayed the same and there has been no opportunity to move up. Also, the company is very cheap. Things break down and they keep putting duct tape over the problem rather than fixing it. We experience the same problems over and over and they are always patched up rather than fixed completely.

The Local Pages Response

To respond to your Cons, I am sorry you feel that you have been passed up for promotions. We are very big on hiring within the company. Before any job is posted on a outside source. We send a company wide email offering any position in the company to our current employees. As far as the "cheap comment" Our company is always investing money back onto the company and into its employees. We still have holiday pot lucks, and employee appreciation days. We still do a old fashioned holiday party where we fly everyone one of our sales professionals back to our corporate offices for a 4 day event. We do company soft ball and bowling teams. Very good culture within the company.
