Pros
- Staff discount at almost all venues on food (no alc bevs)
- Large amount of staff mean you can find some genuinely wonderful people to get you through
- Few and far between but some other managers were truly lovely and compassionate
- Generally well-staffed
Cons
- Was “management” but most basic venue-specific training was missed
- No dignified staff areas, venue kept in pristine conditions however staff areas were disgusting
- (Coming from a POC) venue honestly had almost all of a certain European country in senior management, with these managers hiring under-qualified candidates of the same background (genuinely almost 1/2), while dismissing others who would’ve been better workers. This lead to an EXTREMELY cliquey and toxic work environment.
- Overheard some awful thing said about staff behind each others backs between employees of all levels
- 8/10 times staff meal was awful and not enough was prepared for the large number of staff
- Female staff AND management constantly undermined and belittled
