Pros

Nothing at all. This place is horrid…

Cons

I've never written a review before, but I felt compelled to warn job seekers about this firm. This is not just a review from a former "angry" or "disgruntled" employee. If you truly want to corroborate my review, I would implore you to reach out to former employees who worked at the Firm via LinkedIn, and I guarantee they will advise you to steer clear just as I am. It's hands down the most toxic environment I've ever experienced. EVER! Promotions are solely based on friendships, and there's rampant fraternization throughout, even with senior leadership. No matter how hard I worked, I never received a shred of acknowledgment. Just more cases and cleaning up after the revolving door of former colleagues. Even after all of the extra effort and overtime I still received blame for cancellations without acknowledgment that I was overworked, and the caseloads were humanly unmanageable. The CEO's greed knows no bounds, and his focus is entirely on profits rather than the well-being of employees. He is known for lies and manipulative tactics. I heard from a former manager about his history of lying about his education publicly and on the firm's website to deceive clients. This speaks volumes about the firm's integrity. I vividly remember a time when he announced to our entire department that wages would be sporadically cut, sending employees into a frenzy. After multiple emails about wage cuts, he then hosted a meeting to say he was cutting his own pay and urged us to work harder. Talk about fear-mongering and manipulation! The COO, who has no idea what he's doing, only exacerbates the problem. With no background in management, he came from running a law firm with less than two employees and was entrusted to run a firm of over 500 employees. Once he arrived, literally all the best management at the firm left shortly after. The firm was making incremental progress, but as soon as he arrived at the Firm, everything turned upside down. The toxic CFO doesn't help matters either. She is the most abrasive, disrespectful individual you'll ever meet. The CEO allows her to be this way, obviously because all he cares about is money. Everyone walks on eggshells around her, and the atmosphere at the firm is stifling and oppressive. I heard that the former HR team left the Firm because they couldn't stand working with her. Any positive reviews you see here are likely fake. The management team offers gift cards for employees to write fabricated reviews. It's sad and extremely shameful this firm can't pay employees fairly or provide decent insurance coverage, but they have the funds to bribe employees for false praise. The firm lacks any real structure, and it's all smoke and mirrors here. They boast about accomplishments on LinkedIn, but behind the scenes, they mistreat employees and engage in unethical practices at the expense of clients. This unsustainable approach is driving the firm towards doom, and it's only a matter of time before this establishment is shut down. Having worked for established law firms in the past and currently employed by one, I can assure you that this is not how a law firm should be run. This place has always been a mockery of what a law firm is supposed to be. The only people singing the firm's praises are those getting paid way above market rate to turn a blind eye to its practices. The sentiment of relief for escaping this toxic environment is shared by my former colleagues who were fortunate enough to find new jobs or even get fired. Job seekers, please stay clear of this law firm. It's the worst of its kind, and its future looks bleak. You deserve better. Don't get caught in the chaos when this ship inevitably sinks. Most people here are seriously considering or are planning for their exit, don't even bother wasting your time!

Pros

When I first started, there were multiple admin teams, but those are all gone now. If you work in person, I guess you get the perk of like, an occasional lunch or outing. If you work remote, none whatsoever.

Cons

Where to even begin? Abysmal pay, minimal benefits, complete lack of respect for staff and clients, extremely exploitative and aggressive style of getting clients. I had multiple clients tell me that billing threatened to report them to ICE if they didn’t pay. The caseload is obscene - at one point I had a caseload of 500. Every day clients call absolutely furious bc their cases are getting neglected bc there simply isn’t enough time to do them. Dozens of clients with a year or more without contact. They take soooo many cases that simply aren’t eligible for the services. Your license is genuinely at risk if you choose to work for them. And that’s just the more serious issues - you have to do the admin work and reports that normally the managing attorneys at any other firm would do themselves. From what I can see, management mostly spends their time doing media, photo shoots, and harassing any staff member who happens to blink at them wrong. This job gave me actual stress nightmares for months. Avoid at all costs!!!!
