Pros
- Nice co-workers
- Everyone is willing to help each other. There were so many times a young lady in another department who had some previous experience in our department would step in and low key actually give us as a team some much needed training, and made herself available for any questions (which she did NOT have to do).
- Very nice CEO, nothing bad to say about the guy. He checks in frequently, but it was always positive vibes.
Cons
- I was pretty much thrown into the position with no training, and NOBODY designated to actually properly train me.
- Supervisor was the passive aggressive type. e.g. You tell her you need to leave on time and she says "okay" , but her face and tone says she's making a mental note against you. She left our department with 3 people who were relatively new to the company to figure things out essentially, yet simultaneously coming over to ask why things were taking so long.
- Little respect for work/life balance. They will ask you to come early or leave 2 hours after your shift (sometimes both). And if you cannot make do it, it will count against you. This could be okay for some, but the main issue is that they do not make any mention of this prior to starting. its normal to stay late sometimes, but every single day (unless the supervisor has something to do) is absurd.
- Time off requests not honored. I have literally witnessed on multiple occasions Elana (supervisor) tell people who have requested to leave early and it was formally approved, that they "changed their mind" about the approval and that they cannot leave early literally hours before they were supposed to leave. I have never seen that before or since working here.
- Staying longer than you are required was not recognized, but simply expected.
