Pros

Its hard to find pros for such a toxic company who doesn't put people first. They unfortunately fake best places to work contests and have staff meetings about it forcing you to give good ratings

Cons

If you're in recruiting or sales avoid at all costs. Midtown does not set anyone up for success nor will you have the tools to be successful. The company uses Zip Recruiter as a primary source and even when you log in, it asks you to pay your invoice since Midtown doesn't pay their bills. I am in IT and use Dice for a job board. They turned it off without any warning and since the company can't afford Linked In had nothing else to use. We couldn't even do our jobs! Unfortunately no one on the executive team is qualified for their job. This is a terribly stressful place to work that has bare bones infrastructure in place so management can make as much money for themselves as possible. They use culture as a guise to treat people poorly, change commission plans after they've already been agreed upon and then forced you to sign or they'll let you go. There are more managers at Midtown than there are actual recruiters! Don't ever push back on management as a result. They will gossip and make your life hard while working there, even abusing their positions to retaliate against you. All in all it's hard to work and find success at an organization that has so much gossip and toxicity that comes straight from the top.

The Midtown Group Response

We are sorry to hear that you feel this way about Midtown. If there was a misunderstanding, we would like to resolve it as best we can. Many of the statements in this review are untrue. If you are willing, please reach out to Lisa, our HR Director, at lisa@themidtowngroup.com or 202-887-4747. We are very mindful that there is a risk of employees posting less than truthful reviews on Glassdoor or other sites. In our opinion, it appears that Glassdoor affords little or no protection to companies whose disgruntled current or former employees post on their site negative reviews in an effort to harm the reputation of a former employer. The Midtown Group wishes all former employees the very best in their career endeavors and appreciates any and all contributions they may have made to the success of the company. We believe that employees are our best asset and we will continue to treat them all with dignity and respect. Stay safe, Midtown

Pros

Kristina has been my point of contact since I started with Midtown. She's very responsive and helpful! On-boarding with Midtown was a smooth process. Great experience so far!

Cons

My only critiques is we should have had holiday pay for Juneteenth.
