Pros
-People are nice
-Great location for a commute if you're on the west side of the city or live outside Manhattan
-Decent Pay
-Voluntary overtime
Cons
-No documented workflow. All coordinators work differently, even when working on something specific like how VFX shot references are created in Premiere.
-Not enough work to go around, I was working maybe only two hours a day. Doesn't seem to be a correlation between staff efficiency and the amount of work brought in
-Lack of internal communication. Producers aren't aware of new assets/elements until they're needed, which effects deadlines and client expectations (meaning, nobody is checking to make sure assets/elements are correct when received)
-No apparent structure. Was never introduced to a supervisor nor wasn't given any idea of who one reports to and/or what everyone does
-A bit of the 'this is the way we've always done things' mentality.
