Pros
Ohio State University has outstanding facilities and for the most part excellent faculty. With its midwest location, Ohio State employees enjoy a relatively low cost of living with a stable housing market. Ohio State is a nationally recognized employer/university. Overall, Ohio State University is a great place to work. No place is perfect, but I'd rank Ohio State as one of the better places I've worked.
Cons
As with any large university or business, there is too much bureaucracy at Ohio State University. Another weakness, at the college level, is poor communications from leadership. Also there is currently a funding crisis in academia under the current U.S. Governement Administration (i.e., Bush).
