Pros
Despite the rapid growth, Onin strives to keep its core values and culture throughout the company and in each branch. Branches are encouraged to be unique. Direct employees are motivated to be creative and innovative in their work. Leadership/management tries their best to keep the open door policy despite busy schedule. Overall a great company to build a career with and grow.
Cons
Pay is below national average and is at the discretion of direct manager, with or without input from corporate leadership. Example... Some Reg Mgrs are generous and pay their BMs and staff well and appropriately for their hard work. Some Reg Mgrs could care less that their Branch Mgrs or staff live in a city with high living costs or that they've been with the company for years; these Reg Mgrs still won't give proper pay. I guess the more they give to their people, the less they pocket for themselves. What's sad is that the corporate office doesn't step in and review. So, expect to be a dedicated, hard working local Manager and make less than 40k a year and get less than 0.50 cents raise. (That's if your Reg Mgr have time for your review.) I've placed warehouse people to work who get paid more than this.
