Pros

I've been with The Perfect Workout for seven years now. I began as a part-time personal trainer and, over the years, have moved into the facility manager and certification supervisor roles. I've held a job since the day I turned 16 and for the previous 18 years of my life. Prior to finding The Perfect Workout, I worked in sales, retail, restaurants, I coached high school athletes and I've worked as a personal trainer in a traditional gym setting. Nothing compares to the support and team we have at The Perfect Workout. Through my discussions with friends, family, and former coworkers, jobs in which you're truly supported, allowed to voice concern to executive members, encouraged to provide honest feedback are few and far between. I've now had the privilege of not just working with amazing people as team members, but I've also had the privilege of changing people's lives. If you're seeking an opportunity to truly make a difference in the lives of others, The Perfect Workout provides the opportunity for you. Part of the position can be viewed as sales. However, most of the "selling" comes from understanding strength training, how our bodies adapt to exercise, and getting the most of the people you're training. If you posses the ability to motivate others and to help them achieve your goals, that will be a majority of the selling that is required. In essence, if your passionate about exercise and helping people reach their goals, then the concept of "selling" our program becomes non-applicable. Pros: -A set schedule, the opposite of shift work. You'll be able to create a schedule that works for you and your life. -Work life balance: You are required to NOT work off the clock. You are encouraged to live your life after clocking out. You do not need to respond to emails, texts, or anything regarding The Perfect Workout once you're done with your day. You are not expected to be on-call, ever. -We are not demonized for taking days off, in fact, your team will rally around you and help you fill your shift for mental health days, sick days, etc... -Our team supports a growth mindset, we want to help build each other up and improve our overall lives. You will have a support team around you to help you with anything you need. -You're allowed to fail. Failure leads to growth physically, mentally, and emotionally. If a mistake is made or if we "fail" at something, it isn't viewed as bad. The opposite, we get to use it as an opportunity to improve ourselves. This is encouraged. -Our pay structure allows team members to make more money than any other personal training position available. Most of the selling comes from being a passionate trainer who seeks to help others. We provide you the tools you need to succeed, again you have support all around you including free and on-going education. You're paid a base amount for the hours you work and receive commission for every personal training session you perform a week. There are opportunities to vastly increase the commission you receive and multiple opportunities to receive bonuses for the training you provide.

Cons

-Any con I've ever experienced has lead me to discuss these issues with my regional manager, our COO, and/or our CEO. Their doors are open for discussion and they'll provide you the tools you need to overcome any obstacles you experience.

Pros

I work with a truly amazing team. I feel like the company values are in line with my own. I think the executive team is innovative; I also feel they truly listen to individual team members and take into account their experience when making decisions.

Cons

For my role, this is not a particularly high-paying job.

Pros

• The clients are genuinely a joy to work with and often the most rewarding part of the job. • The workout method is unique and structured, which some clients respond well to. Though, it is not the single best workout method for everyone as the company likes to claim it is. • You’ll learn fast—mostly because you’re expected to handle a lot right away.

Cons

• Heavy micromanagement, even for experienced trainers and supervisors. There’s very little trust in staff decision-making. • Pay is low and roles are part-time only, but you’re expected to give full-time availability and energy. • Constant turnover makes it hard to build a stable, consistent team environment. • Advancement opportunities are limited, and even leadership roles come with minimal added compensation or autonomy.
