Pros
This organization has a solid strategy that is crystal clear to team members at all levels. The CEO and senior leaders take time to consistently communicate results against the projected vision in monthly meetings, in department meetings and through individual dialogues.
Company wide training was recently provided to inspire folks to raise the bar to new heights for member service excellence as well as to set internal service standards. This initiative has furthered a transparent and collaborative environment. The board supports this direction as well and is not shy to provide recognition to individual contributors and to management.
This is a special organization where trust is paramount. It is truly an honor to serve those that have served our communities. It is a closed field of membership and there is intentionality with its customer base and the products chosen for law enforcement.
The credit union financials are solid, allowing for planned growth. Next year, a newly constructed administrative office will open in San Bruno as one exhibit of the good execution of the CU.
In sum, a terrific place to work and to grow a career!
Cons
I cannot say this is a con, but something to be aware of rather. If working in San Francisco, be prepared to exercise your parallel parking skills and to walk a few blocks in chilly weather.
