Pros
It is a hospitality company and it really feels that way: Initially, people were really nice and made me feel welcome. My team members were skilled, working hard and delivering results.
Cons
After a few months, a new "superstar" CMO arrived, announcing a new approach and (alarmingly) a "love for private equity", which is how TSH is funded. As expected, three departments were "made redundant" just one month later. I was sacked overnight without dialogue or opportunity for other positions, together with about 20 other employees - some of whom had been working there for the largest part of their professional life. Most notably, this happened at the same time that The Social Hub achieved B Corp status, suggesting that it also prioritises the well-being of its employees. To this day, its slogan "Together, we create a better society" remains unaltered. I have never experienced such a clear case of Social Washing from this close.
