Pros

People are top-notch, very few exceptions. Corporate Culture is really great and time off and retirement benefits really can't be beat.

Cons

The IT department is unlike any thing you will have experienced. While they are all fantastic people you can't shake the idea that management are a bunch of children on a playground "playing at IT". Now if you can suck it up and go with the flow you'll be fine but if you can't contain your cognitive dissonance to play along you will quickly flame out here. They likely won't fire you and will go to the ends of the earth to make you happy but they won't change the way they run their IT department. It is dead wrong and they like it that way.

Pros

Company dynamic. encourages work life balance.

Cons

Some managers will see like they are on your side, but will not fight for you in the end. Any feedback given is met with positivty and a drive for change, but when it comes down to it they roll over and nothing changes.

Pros

Leadership did a great job of pivoting because of covid and has not given into pressure by city government to bring people back in person, they are very supportive of remote work. Company is also very present in the local community and I had the opportunity to participate in some of the philanthropic work they do including double matching employee donations. The company readily moves people within the org and values the knowledge and skills you collect in each role. People move around a lot and some folks have managed to make really big career shifts while staying within the same company. The people in my immediate team and department were great and I loved everything they brought to the work. The company is so large, and growing, that experiences working there vary really greatly across the org.

Cons

The health insurance is a high deductible plan and feels like you pay more to get less every year. Supports a lot of conservative legislation in Oregon that I disagree with and has the corporate lobbyist lead "non-partisan" legislative education sessions for employees.
