      Good pay, bad morale - Press Operator The Washington Post Employee Review

      Pros

      The pay is great, triple time on holidays. No time clock so we get to slip out a little early at times.

      Cons

      Every little incident is blown out of proportion. Even incidents that are proven to be based on a misunderstanding will have you under a microscope for years. Some managers seem to think it's not their job to manage but to reduce head count for spurious reasons.

      Pros

      Supporting journalism is the one good thing.

      Cons

      The culture needs improvement, with a strict in-office policy that may not work well for everyone. There also seems to be ongoing challenges with employee retention, which can impact team morale, consistency, and long-term stability. The tech guild and unions made me feel really uncomfortable with coworkers protesting outside the office.
