Great place to work, not always cutting edge, but trying. - Lead Developer The Washington Post Employee Review

Pros

Nice people, flexible schedule, partial telecommuting options for some tech folks. High visibility work that reaches a lot of people. Lots of room to move around the company to try out different types of careers. Room to try new things if you get the right people's attention.

Cons

Inconsistent across teams. Some teams are great, others not so much. Moving can involve playing politics if you are stuck on a bad team. Some bitterness still remains from before washingtonpost.com and The Washington Post were living under one roof together. News industry, in general, is a bit unstable.

Pros

Hard working colleagues, at times.

Cons

I found a lot of people I worked with were just racking up sinecures they felt they had earned. Lots of laziness.
