Pros

Great place to work, respectful workplace, no limit on what you can do if you're willing to work hard.

Cons

For me it's the commute as I live in suburban Maryland.

Well said! The opportunities are endless within The Washington Post, especially if you embody our catalysts- shape ideas, redefine speed, take ownership and lead. Since our headquarters is in downtown Washington, D.C. the commute can be tough coming into the city. We hope the commuter benefits help ease some of the tension. Since we've been working from home since March due to the pandemic, we hope you're enjoying a new kind of commute to your work-from-home space.

Pros

Supporting journalism is the one good thing.

Cons

The culture needs improvement, with a strict in-office policy that may not work well for everyone. There also seems to be ongoing challenges with employee retention, which can impact team morale, consistency, and long-term stability. The tech guild and unions made me feel really uncomfortable with coworkers protesting outside the office.
