Pros
On the product side Thetus has a very interesting product and participates in a fascinating field. It's great to work on a product that you feel contributes in meaningful ways. -Benefits and training options are great. -Professional growth opportunities are some of the best I've encountered. If you take the initiative and your goals at least roughly line up with company goals you'll have an awesome time and find advancement opening up for you. -There are some really excellent people working here. Like all companies it's a mixed bag and there will always be personality differences but in general it's a great group of people that are fun to interact with on professional and personal levels. -Dogs and beer
Cons
The fascinating field that Thetus participates in is also an extremely challenging field. This tends to create tension with ever changing requirements, less freedom of choice in some technical decisions, and last minute or off-cycle scrambling to win new business. Thetus has grown very organically and at times can feel completely foreign to people who are used to more rigid environments. For some the culture can be very difficult and that's certainly stressful for those people and all who work around them. Like many companies that have grown up in the era of smart phones and working remotely the work/life balance can be difficult. Whether real or perceived there is an always-on mentality that can be tough at times.
