Pros

Pay was decent. Benefits were great. Lots of incredible teammates and great people.

Cons

Thinkific once walked the walk. There was a People Team grounded in empathy, intention, and genuine care—balanced with a clear commitment to delivering business results. For a time, the culture felt principled and purposeful. That changed. The company went public prematurely, and employees bore the cost. Reckless, COVID-era hiring sprees were followed by rolling layoffs that felt less like strategic corrections and more like ongoing instability. Meanwhile, “seasoned leaders” were ushered in, many of whom appeared more focused on installing familiar faces into critical roles than strengthening the organization itself. Hardworking employees were dismissed sporadically, often without clear rationale or transparency. Severance became a substitute for accountability. When it’s easier to pay people to leave than explain leadership decisions, trust erodes quickly. At the same time, some of the lowest-paid employees were routinely overlooked, while leaders willing to advocate for them quietly disappeared. The message became clear: loyalty and integrity were optional; optics and executive insulation were not. Thinkific once stood for something meaningful. It’s disappointing to see how far it drifted from those values.

On the flip side, we also recognize that times of change, specifically in recent years and across the tech industry, have been challenging and we understand that those experiences can leave a lasting impact. Decisions around company growth, hiring, and team structure are not taken lightly, and our goal is always to balance long term business health and care for our Thinkers. We really appreciate the time, thoughtful feedback, and detail for our team to review and reflect on. Pros

Thinkific lives its values. It's the first place I've worked where that's true.

Cons

A lot of process to get things done

Pros

- Amazing Location - Beautiful office - Very friendly working environment and not stressful - Very understanding team - Unlimited vacation days policy - Lots of foods, snacks, and beverages - Pet-friendly office - A place that supports you to learn a lot and develop your career - A place that listens to everyone's idea and promotes it - A personal win is a company win and a company win is a personal win and we celebrate all the wins

Cons

- Salaries are average, not competitive, you might get a higher salary somewhere else, however, there are many other things that compensate for that! - Very fast paced company, you snooze you lose, you need to stay always alert and cope with the speed - Still building the process, this can go in both cons and pros, you might not find a good process that helps you but at the same time, you get the chance to participate in building one :)

Thank you for the feedback! One of the things we work hard to do is provide a work environment that helps our team feel productive while working, comfortable (and heard!) while sharing their ideas, and especially where they can feel they're learning and growing in their careers. We've come a long way in building out our processes and we're so fortunate to have team members who help us to continually improve them!
