Just another boys ckub Your experience is entirely dependant on your fitness manager, there are some fantastic ones but sadly they employ individuals who are misogynistic, distinctly lacking in empathy, and lack any people skills. I struggle to understand how certain individuals landed themselves a role managing a team of people with zero management skills. Extremely ironic that for a luxury health club you will be encouraged to work to burn out, and have almost zero actual benefits.

Some genuinely kind colleagues. Beautiful facilities. A handful of supportive trainers who try their best despite the environment.

Cons

The PT role is extremely unstable due to inconsistent lead quality and an unclear distribution system. In my experience, initial support rapidly declined, and many of the "leads" provided later were expired or low quality, making it difficult to meet monthly targets. There is a noticeable sense of favouritism, with opportunities and referrals often going to a select few regardless of who actually needs work. New PTs are hired frequently, even when existing trainers are still trying to build a sustainable client base. This creates unnecessary competition and instability rather than growth. Several trainers resigned within a very short time frame, which says a lot about the environment. Management communication can be inconsistent, and expectations often do not match the reality of the support provided. The result is an unpredictable income, high pressure, and little long term security.
