Pros

Thistle Initiatives is a relatively new company growing at a fast pace, with that comes huge opportunity for growth and development, both for the business and on a personal level. Now it's becoming more established senior management are putting greater focus on TSF (Treating Staff Fairly), this includes increased staff benefits and rewards / recognition for individuals who embody the company values. The calibre of staff that Thistle employ is very high, especially in the insurance sector ;) of the business. This is not a business where sub-standard people will be carried - if you want to blend into the masses and just be carried by those around you this isn't the place for you. If on the other hand you're good, you know your stuff and you have a 'can do' attitude with a desire to really push yourself and the business forward then you want to come here - It's all about your attitude to succeed!

Cons

There's a lot to do and not enough time to do it...but on the other hand it's good because no day stands still.

Pros

Now in my 4th year with the business . I have worked in national and multi national firms and this team with less resources produces comparably outstanding performances. A tremendous team working culture is a contributory factor As with all relatively new business its not possible to create the infrastructure as quickly as staff may like , the priority is building the customer base to enable investments to be made in the business .its now a very different structure than I when I joined in 2015, though investing in training/achieving qualifications has always been a priority. For those individuals in the early or relatively early stages of a career in financial services there are certainly the opportunities to learn and achieve promotions. I have utilised the staff introduction scheme and would do so again. The access to senior management means that any issues can be raised, discussed and decisions made far more quickly than in larger organisations.

Cons

there was a period of high staff turnover but this has been addressed and the current position is positive
