Pros

I was a software engineer for just over 3 years at TWS. For the most part they hired excellent people to work on the development teams. Developers such as myself and others had as good a relationship with some of our customers as the product owners who represented them. Several of us worked remote, and as such it fell in line with the company's core values such as creating work-life balance.

Cons

The company made a lot of empty promises. During the latter part of my time there I as well as many others were left with ongoing uncertainty as far as upper management was concerned. They rested their hopes on winning a small number of contracts.

Three Wire Systems Response

Thank you to our former colleagues for posting their opinion on Glassdoor. Like all federal contractors making the jump from small business to the mid-tier, we face our challenges related to contract pursuit and hiring for the proper cultural fit. For job-seekers comfortable working in an entrepreneurial and unstructured environment who are interested in making a difference to our active duty troops and veterans, Three Wire is a company to consider. Consider the words of Sir Ernest Shackleton, the famed explorer of Antarctica, who posted the following help-wanted ad in 1913: "Men wanted for hazardous journey. Low wages, bitter cold, long hours of complete darkness. Safe return doubtful. Honor and recognition in event of success." This ad generated 5,000 responses for 27 positions. At Three Wire, we are looking for men and women that strive for success. Unlike Shackleton, we offer a competitive compensation plan and complete benefit package that is on par with companies of our size. Heating and lighting are also included. Pros

Great team to work with. Gave real world responsibilities.

Cons

Remote interships make it difficult to get a feel for corporate culture. Not their fault, just a general comment.
