Pros

Free alcohol/beer Some cool coworkers Soho office is in a really cool location

Cons

No autonomy. Tech team is treated like children and there is a lot of favoritism. An embarassing amount of nepotism. Employees are not encouraged to bring up new ideas - most teams employ the same old routines that get the job done, but never go beyond. NO work/life balance. People who actually get to a year here are always burned out and disappointed. Job responsibilities are never as job descriptions seem. Managers are all young with no training or experience in managing people so they end up just spreading work out by who there favorite team drinking buddies are. Did I work at a company or at a frat house? Women are rarely made to feel welcome at work events unless you're making out with something at a work offsite Happy Hour (I swear I've seen this happen more than 3 times!!!) or are dating someone high up in the company (lots of coworkers sleep with each other - this makes it a super awkward and unprofessional work environment. The Brooklyn office is its own island. It's as if they're not a part of the company - so isolated. Promotions are not earned, they are given to people who suck up to managers regardless of their contribution and whether someone else was more deserving of it.

Pros

Vox has had lots of growing pains lately, so you truly never know if you have a job or not. But other than that there's room for growth and good pay

Cons

None aside from job security
