Pros

Flexibility. Meaningful work. There’s a lot of autonomy.

Cons

As a remote employee, advancement is difficult. The goals are unclear, leadership publically says one thing and asks you to do another. This is probably because your salary is paid by fraternal funding to do good things in communities but thrivent makes more money by having you recruit. It’s a legal grey area as far as I can tell.

Pros

Would have been a good opportunity IF it went through.

Cons

BEWARE! They do not disclose a very long and tedious interview process. 3 interviews with a post interview call. Background check, credit check, amongst multiple items to complete in portal. Many emails to respond to. Speaking with 4+employees throughout the process. Did NOT disclose that start date was 3 months post job posting.
