Very unprofessional, strange work environment - Anonymous employee Tidal Concepts Employee Review

Good money but honestly not worth it. Most of the team are nice and friendly

Long hours - 8am-8pm monday to Saturday. I was led to believe this was a job in advertsing, which is why I applied. The online ad made it out to be more marketing and advertising, it did not state it was a sales position. I was told everyone has to start in the sales division selling the item and can then move on. This is a lie. Everyone I met there was only ever involved in the sales. There were chances to progress to team leader and management, but you are just managing the sales of your team basically. They make a big deal if you ring in sick. They asked me my aspirations and goals and then when I found the job difficult and spoke with my mentor she threw it all back in my face and said " the difference between you and me is that I am working my butt off everyday to provide for my family and your just being lazy. I thought you wanted to help your dad with his finances. Your letting your dad down". This was incredibly hurtful, disrespectful and unprofessional. They make you feel like its not all about selling, they tell you its about brand awareness and not to worry too much. That is until they decide your not selling enough and bully you into leaving. I saw this happen to two people. They are money hungry which may seem promising and alluring but I promise you it is not worth it. You have no life of your own, they are always on your case in a negative way. Its like a cult. In the morning you stand in a circle and repeat phrases and clap in unison to celebrate the teams for the day. Absolutely creepy. They say this is to boost morale. I didnt think it did.
