Pros
I worked at Tidewater Tech for a couple of months. The pay was decent, and most of the staff are generally friendly and easy to work with. Helping students achieve their educational goals can be rewarding. The programs are great, and I would definitely recommend this school to anyone who is interested in picking up a trade.
Cons
- Admissions can be monotonous, so if you don't like spending hours on the phone, and calling the same leads over and over again, this isn't the position for you.
- I wasn't fond of the "culture" of upper management. I've witnessed the campus and regional directors catching attitudes with employees and just generally being condescending. If you speak up for yourself, they'll consider you a "problem." Also, if you try to leave the professional way by giving them official notice of resignation, they'll just let you go on the spot without letting you finish out your two weeks, speaking from experience.
- Work/life balance wasn't the best.
