Pros

Decent benefits, including PTO and insurance

Cons

Tiger Pistol was already off to a bad start before the pandemic, but now it’s truly a sinking ship. Here’s why you should avoid working at Tiger Pistol at all costs: 1. Terrible product: The company has never been profitable and probably never will be. Despite getting money from investors to improve our product offerings, our software is worse than ever. It’s buggy, ugly and barely useable, which is why we – as a policy – avoid showing it to prospective clients. The sales team is desperately trying to sell our software but can’t, which is why there’s been such high turnover on the sales team. 2. Careless leadership: Over the course of the pandemic, they have actually become less communicative, less transparent and less invested in employee wellness. They have cut funding for certain employee benefit programs and made false promises about promotions, DEI initiatives and employee reviews that they have never followed through on. When asked if they would provide a work from home stipend, they have even made statements like, “You’re lucky to even have a job during this pandemic.” That just goes to show how little they care about employees. 3. Toxic culture: Poor leadership + a product that won’t sell = a very negative environment. There is no hope for the future and no growth opportunities. Not to mention all the shady behavior from upper management, like only hiring their friends, moving our headquarters for tax benefits, and lying to clients about what our software is capable of. All these things considered, employee morale is incredibly low. People are tired of the toxicity, which is why veteran employees are starting to leave en masse and those of us who remain are trying to get out as soon as possible.

We appreciate your feedback and would have preferred you would have also taken advantage of the direct feedback opportunities that all of our team members are afforded. While our policy relating to social media is that current and former team members are entitled to share their opinions, at the same time, we believe it’s important to address any factual inaccuracies or misrepresentations, and in this case, there are multiple. The pandemic has had its impact on all businesses, not just Tiger Pistol. We have worked hard to navigate the challenging times, with a laser focus on supporting and retaining our team members, while growing our team to support our increasing client base. We made significant investments to ensure the health and comfort of our team while transitioning to remote working. We added weekly communications to accommodate for the lack of in-person opportunities and added frequent online social events to foster relationships and community. In addition to actions taken specifically due to COVID, we have always maintained our monthly all-hands meetings as an opportunity to be fully transparent and honest about the business, while addressing any questions or concerns. Through those meetings, regular company-wide communications, and departmental meetings, we have addressed each and every one of the topics you raised. For example: - We have made it clear that we are maintaining Austin as our corporate headquarters. Our return to office timing is based on safety guidelines, team feedback, and office availability. - We continue to hire in both markets in which we have a physical presence, as well as in other locations where we can find the best candidates. Many of our employees have relocated from our physical office cities for personal reasons, and we have both maintained their employment and worked with them on establishing a successful home office. - Our leadership team maintains our open-door policy, and all employees are welcome to discuss concerns or new ideas at any time with any member of our team. - We continue to invest in the development and growth of our team members, providing promotions and compensation increases based on our quarterly review process. This year, 90% of employees received an increase in salary. We’ve been recognized as one of the Inc. 5000 fastest-growing privately-held companies in the U.S. Companies on this list achieved a three-year average growth of over 500 percent and a median rate of 165 percent. - Regarding our platform functionality, we have won 20+ industry awards and recognitions over the last 20 months, earned by reviews of independent panels of top marketers. - More important than the awards, our client retention rates are well above the industry average for similar adtech companies. Our client retention and growth rates clearly indicate our technology and client support meet and exceed expectations. I am proud of our employees, our culture, and our platform. I am proud that we continue to successfully navigate a global pandemic and a complex and highly dynamic industry. I know I am not alone in these sentiments among our growing number of employees who find a home away from home at Tiger Pistol.

Pros

People are somewhat decent- I met some nice coworkers while working there.

Cons

- Biggest con: they will straight up lay you off while on maternity leave. Such a huge red flag and shows some major negative insight into their processes. - Micromanagement was a HUGE issue at this company. If you don't want someone breathing down your neck, don't work here. Especially in customer support. - So many bugs. Their platform is terrible. Oftentimes you are fighting against their platform just to get any work done.
