Pros

There are no pros about Tilly's.

Cons

- Below average pay for all positions - You're expected to either come in early or stay late to get 3 days worth of work done in one day. You're expected to be on the sales floor running the show, processing shipment, and recruiting/hiring all at the same time (not even including all the other menial tasks) & if everything isn't done then you're expected to stay late. This is an everyday occurrence. - No work/life balance - The turnover rate for management and associates is astronomical; it's embarrassing. - Company will take advantage of the good sales associates and allow them to do all managerial duties without compensating them or promoting them & bounce back with poor excuses as to why they "can't" be promoted. - You will get customer service audits via the store cameras by Loss Prevention. Yes. The eye in the sky will audit you via the cameras that don't have audio, and by someone in LP. Make that make sense. - The phrase "Tilly's Culture"' is shoved down your throat; they want you to believe it's a FUN work environment when in reality it's the most soul-sucking retail workplace there is. - HR doesn't do anything when your DM has multiple harassment complaints against them. DM's get away with saying and doing inappropriate things. Minors breaking dress code by wearing crops to work is okay because "sex sells". Gross. The only reason this company is still in business is because they sell TikTok clothes to teens. It certainly isn't due to the "culture". If you love to be overworked and underpaid, Tilly's is for you!! If you actually value your mental health and that of your associates, run far away & don't look back.

Pros

- Enjoyed working with teens/young adults and building them up into the workforce/ teaching them responsibilities -Policies were awesome, but not always backed by upper management - Always pushing you to be better

Cons

- Upper management did not have equal expectations of stores/ lacked clear communication -PAY, they will pay someone who is hired external far more then they ever will an internal. Doesn’t matter how long you’re there. I was trained from a seasonal, all the way up and made far less than newer peers. They do not see as much value in internals which is so unfortunate for them. Did my 8 years and have a lot of resentment over this.
