Pros

Decent pay because of all the forced overtime. The only thing I really miss is the people I worked with.

Cons

Forced overtime during the week and weekends as well. It makes for a nice paycheck, but hard on family life. You can count on working 2 out of every 3 weekends year round. The management act like they are better than everybody on the floor. Extremely hot and dangerous environment. Old equipment that breaks down often. Company invests nothing in their equipment, just has maintenance limp it along. They will hire pretty much anyone and you will be working with dangerous people. The union does very little outside of collecting dues. Stressful every 3 years around contract time. I was optimistic when Timken bought the company, but they came in and made everything worse. Wasted almost 20 years here, wish I had never heard of the place.

Low stress, climate controlled, flexible shift

Cons

Horrible management, favoritism, management has no problem stepping in your way even if you’re trying to better yourself.
