Pros
The best part about the school is the students. They can be loud and rambunctious, but they're a lot of fun to be around.
Cons
The culture is authoritarian and soul-crushingly oppressive, but maintaining the culture is explicitly the top priority, even over academics. The directives and standards set by the admins are arbitrary, frequently conflict with one another, and are often literally impossible to follow. Moreover, staff are frequently held to standards which have literally never been communicated. The school fails to provide even basic materials, like textbooks and sufficient copy paper (which is pretty important when there aren't any textbooks). They way that we're expected to treat the students borders on cruel, and the treatment of the staff is only marginally better. From time to time, the admins call meetings with students to vaguely threaten to expel students who don't fall into line, and with staff to vaguely threaten to fire anyone who doesn't meet their absurd expectations. The school's motto is "College or Die," which is atrocious.
The conditions are so bad that the students openly talk about how their teachers won't be around next year, and they even expect teachers to quit mid-semester.
Amplifying all of this is the fact that the school will never improve. Admins repeatedly talk about how good the system is and literally use the phrase "Tindley will never change." In other words, no matter what happens, they will always double down on their way of doing things
