Pros

Fully remote team, really cool suggested HR initiatives, interesting and useful product

Cons

For the first time, I had a chance to witness a manager screaming on employees during regular meetings, blaming others for the mistakes that were caused by poor planning and unclear expectations (goal setting). Extremely top-down leadership style where there's no space for employees when planning and setting reasonable team goals. The saddest part for me personally was that 'cutting throats' mentality is reinforced as it's considered to be good for business in the short term and team-work (shared responsibility) is punished. No wonder the team set up is changing every month. Even the best ideas for improvement suggested by HR were rejected by the team lead.

Thank you for taking time to leave us your feedback. Our People Ops team has been constantly working to find out what is going well and what needs improvement, including via regular team surveys and feedback sessions with teams. We are sorry to hear that you had a negative experience. Unfortunately, this is the first time we hear about the complaints that you bring out. The feedback we have gotten from the team is that Toggl has an open work culture and that people feel they have a say over their own work. Not playing blame-games and being kind to each other are among our most important team values. I would really appreciate if you could reach out to me by email to discuss this further. Any feedback is helpful to make sure we never miss any grievances.

Pros

The culture really is everything that you see online and it's great that they give you the flexibility to do your best work, when it's convenient for you. Perhaps the greatest group of people I've worked with.

Cons

Pay isn't great, but is passable given the good culture. The product and growth are pretty stagnant, hard to see this as a place that will really grow in the next few years. Not a great place to come and advance your career, pretty disappointing professional development.
