Right Engineers, Wrong Management - Engineer Tomorrow.io Employee Review

I would like to preface this by saying that I was not part of a layoff and I do not have a bitterness related to that. The talented engineers who once worked here have all moved on, either due to burnout or as part of layoffs. At this company, value was not measured by what one accomplished but rather by who played the political game. Employees who contributed little but knew how to navigate office dynamics were consistently rewarded, while those who remained humble and focused on their work were treated as insignificant. The company claims to follow a set of values, but in reality, fails to live up to them. They had all the right people in the room to achieve their goals, yet let them go because of misplaced priorities and inflated egos. It’s a classic example of how pride comes before the fall.
