Pros

Wonderful mission with smart and passionate coworkers (the only reason this is a two-star review instead of one)

Cons

Never have I worked so hard for so little in return. The company took advantage of people desperate for work in the wake of COVID layoffs when launching in the US by offering insultingly low salaries (ie. some NYC-based employees had to *fight* for anything more than $40k despite all having degrees and 5+ years of industry experience). Within several months, I was expected to play the role of a team manager, onboarding manager, and sometimes even the stand-in head of the department, all while having the title and salary of an entry level employee. When I advocated for a raise or promotion, I would receive the extremely patronizing response: “as a woman in the workplace, it’s great that you’re advocating for yourself! …but the answer is no”. Leadership strung the staff along for months with promises of a salary reevaluation - I didn’t stick around long enough to see the results, but to no one’s surprise, I heard it was underwhelming. Of course, once I had a new job offer, the company was magically able to materialize an extra ~$10k…

Incredibly helpful team, not your average sales job, very lax work environment

Cons

Not too many I can think of, We are a growing company so some growing pains are present.
