      Pros

      Bosses are very understanding if you need sick time, arrive late one day, or make small admin errors. My direct supervisor Leigh is going on maternity leave soon, but she has been awesome. Everyone seems to have experience in the DOE and no one has any unrealistic expectations for us as tutors. I’m also transgender and everyone has been very supportive, kind, and welcoming so far.

      Cons

      Honestly the only con for me is the commute. Toolkit only operates in the DOE, so you’re going to be navigating the burrows to get to your assigned schools. I started in November, I teach English as a New Language; I’m paid $33/hr and have a 401k.

      Pros

      Management is very organized, innovative, and eager to provide the best possible service to our clients. The CEO, Mike, is kind, professional, and very attentive to detail. Would always be willing to go back and help this amazing team and contribute to their honorable mission in education.

      Pros

      Very flexible, you have a choice with placements and can pick which days work best with your schedule. The work you do is rewarding not just to yourself but the community you’re assisting. Competitive compensation as well.

      Cons

      Limited placing in some boroughs however they are slowly but surely growing and having more availabilities in school.
