Pros
Torq was the best career move I have ever made. There are not many consulting companies that give you the attention and care that Torq gives to its employees. I am surrounded by highly motivated, highly intelligent people. The coaching program is customized for each person - I come to every coaching session ready to brainstorm and get feedback on the projects I am working on and have developed a great relationship with my coach. I meet regularly with the CEO. He gives me great feedback on how to proactively look for opportunities, develop great client relationships, and set myself up for success. I have expressed concerns about how to establish my credibility early on with clients because my age often creates a hurdle that requires me to earn others trust. He encouraged me to take away any ceilings that I have put in place for myself because Torq will remove any red tape to let you excel in your career. I rated the "work life balance" below as a 4 because I would describe Torq as a company that values "work life harmony". How is that different from work life balance? I don't think employees are always looking at the clock and wondering when they can "clock out". We work with highly motivated people who are highly motivated to see the company be successful. Sometimes that looks like working overtime some weeks to support the team, sometimes that looks like working lunches to design company growth plans, sometimes that looks like wearing multiple hats and taking on responsibilities that you did not originally expect to be a part of your role! With all that said, however, the job also comes with unlimited PTO, expedited career paths, and being surrounded with highly motivated coworkers that challenge me in my career. If you want true career development and the ability to go above and beyond at a place where it is rewarded, Torq is the place for you! Long story short: Torq is awesome! If you have any concerns, I highly recommend reaching out to a current employee on LinkedIn so they can describe their experience.
Cons
For some people, there may be concern with the in office requirements! We are required to be in office 2-3 days a week. As someone who enjoys being in office, that part is not as much of a problem for me.
