Pros
1.Car facility from office to site
Cons
CONS: 1.If you are fresher and looking for a job through a job via college placement and torrent gas recruits in your campus consider it only as a last option 2.Working hours are terrible , since it is a utility business they ask you to stay 24/7. Sometimes they ask you to stay even on weekends or public holidays. You basically do all the work . 3.We are held responsible for all of contractor work , all of the contractors in this organisation are very pathetic they don't do any work and if they do so the top management will make you a scapegoat. Basically the engineer's role in this organisation is contractor management. 4.There is no learning curve , all you do is just lay pipe and move on . Highly monotonous work environment. You will be posted mostly in executions department only . 5.Engineers role is mainly to monitor contractors' work and supervise them all day .No intermediate supervisor or any such only an engineer should do everything , Liasoning with local people ,police ,and other government entities. 6.They also have agreements with other such industries so we can't go to jobs for similar industries. 7.As a fresher out of college salary hike after 1st year is decent later there is not much salary hike . 8.Promotions are very delayed takes more than 5 years to even reach assistant manager level. 9.Alternate Saturday's are working days 10.You will be not allowed to take leave upon your wish we need to be there at anytime irrespective of time and day(Sunday, midnight, festival days) 11.No facilities will be provided when you go to worksite , even basic facilities like water and food allowances will not be provided (most of steel sites are in very rural areas) 12.Highly corrupt and selfish top management people they'll hate you for no reason 13.If you're from college placement try some other companies don't get placed in TorrentGas and loose the opportunity to join other companies due to placement policy better not attend TorrentGas for placements. Please don't join thinking as core company like that.
