Pros

- You get to work with some incredibly talented, innovative people. - You will have a plethora of opportunities to learn from. - You will learn more about office politics and the importance of business relationships. - On paper, attractive benefits. - Inner ring but not in downtown location (really personal opinion).

Cons

All of the above was a very kind adaptation of what you'll find at Total Expert. On the best of days any of those statements can be true but its only because of the worst type of situations that you will learn and grow. The opportunities you'll have to learn are commonly in the form of you being undervalued, overworked, and treated like a second tier citizen. You will have to "innovate" as one of their core values outlines just to keep your head above water. You will work with some awesome people, there are incredibly talented and passionate individuals in every department. But the entire management to executive level has a great deal of people skills to learn including honesty, integrity, and humility. This is a "move fast and innovate or get destroyed" environment. If your ideas are not the executive teams idea of innovation then you will be met with nearly insurmountable resistance. On paper you have awesome benefits, they even advertise it on their website. Good luck taking advantage of time off, or getting up to stretch your legs for a game of table tennis. The hawkish and aggressive nature from the top down results in constant fear. Do not put your trust in many individuals as the entire company is plotting some grand scheme against some other portion. The office politics should be compared with Russian Oligarchy based on tenure at the company and how buddy-buddy they are with the CEO. Even if you're on his good side, don't expect it to last long. I started out writing this review giving the company a 2 out of 5 because I learned a great deal there and worked with some incredible people, but upon further consideration I think I have to give it 1 star. I don't think you have to dive into a sewage pool to learn to swim. There are other ways.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on TE. As you mentioned, we agree, our people are our greatest asset. We definitely have some of the most talented people in Minneapolis working for us. Ouch, on your summary of cons – not our intention at all. As a fast-growing company, we acknowledge that we maybe haven’t focused on our culture like we should have. But – just as we will continue to innovate and improve our product, we will continue to innovate and improve our culture. We appreciate your feedback and wish you the best in your next role.
