Pros
Nothing, just another job that manage to squeeze the life out of my peace of mind.
Cons
The dispatchers are nasty and will blow your phone every 30 seconds while you're driving the bus if you're 5 minutes late for traffic, construction or anything. You can't make any appointments because they want you there the entire day even though they only pay you 40 hours a week. They don't pay for field trips because they include no pay for field trips in their contracts. If your car has any issues out of your control and you're unable to make it on time they suspend you and keep you from working that day because they don't consider that as an excuse. The dispatchers gossip about the drivers. If they don't have a route they force you to sit in a dirty trailer in order to be clocked in for your hours. On your lunch break before you're suppose to clock in for your 2nd shift they will discipline you for not being available during you're "lunch break". You don't really have a lunch break if you did your 2 and a half hour morning shift, return back to the base which may take another hour and get assigned to a field trip that may take your entire time before you start your 2nd shift for the next 3 and a half hours. You drive more than 40 hours a week but they lock you in at a guaranteed rate of 8 hours per day because they don't pay for field trips or the time that you wait for the students at the school or the time that it takes for you to return their bus back to the base. They don't know where their buses are. You have to use your cellphone for their routes because their buses doesn't have a GPS.
