Managers were very understanding of circumstances and genuinely enjoyable to work alongside.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review! We know a great workplace starts with great communication and leadership, and we’re overjoyed to read your positive comments. We’re glad to hear your experience was a positive one. Cheers!
Free wine, generally supportive management but that is highly dependent on who you’ve ended up with. There is opportunity for growth but you’ve gotta bust your butt to get there and anyone in supervisor or management position has to do 50 hour work weeks.
Cons
The pay to labor ratio is not good. In my district merch and front end are paid around $14 hourly, and the turn over is naturally high. Our turnover rate has been abysmal recently in both management and general staff. They undersell just how much labor this job entails in interviews and once employees get in the thick of it they realize they’re in over their head and leave. I make $16 hourly and I seem to be on the high end of the wages on my team.
Corporate also demands that we push certain products which customers catch onto which can be discouraging.
There is no incentive or commission on sales for the average worker and corporate is always throwing new things at the wall to see what sticks without really knowing how the smaller stores operate.
