Difficult puzzles to work on and putting out fires day in and day out— but that's part of the journey.

Pros

New CEO Keith is sharp AF — love the energy and honesty. Holding everyone accountable and taking the company in a bold direction. Fully remote, solid pay with performance based incentives, good work/life balance with everyone on the team prioritizing health and family time. Unlimited PTO and the vibe of a fast scaling startup with the brand and revenue of a 15+ year old company.

Cons

Lots of competition in the industry and volatility in tech right now. Entire team pushes each other which can be demanding at times but worth it ultimately.

Pros

Totango was once a strong, mission-driven organization with a talented team and a product that resonated deeply within the customer success community. However, many of the individuals who helped shape that culture and momentum are no longer with the company.

Cons

The organization today differs significantly from what it was in the past. Strategic priorities shift frequently, which can make it difficult for teams to maintain focus and build sustained momentum. Decision-making often feels reactive, reflecting a lack of clearly communicated long-term goals. There is also a notable emphasis on detailed day-to-day oversight, including frequent status reporting, rather than empowering teams to operate with autonomy and strategic ownership. This environment may not align well with professionals who prefer clarity, consistency, and outcome-focused leadership. While the company continues to operate under the Totango brand, its internal direction and investment decisions suggest an ongoing period of transition. Prospective buyers should proceed thoughtfully and seek a clear understanding of the level and type of support they can expect from their purchase. The involvement of its investment partner appears more oriented toward short-term experimentation than long-term enablement, which has contributed to organizational instability. Candidates considering Totango should view it as a substantially different organization than it was in prior years and assess fit accordingly.
