Pros

The one good thing about TouchBistro Toronto is their cultural ambassador. He’s fantastic, and does a superb job at making every new hire feel welcome. The training for new sales members is extremely thorough. Flying in members from other regions for training assists new employees in learning everything they need to know about the company and the product.

Cons

TouchBistro has one of the most toxic work environments I have ever experienced. Leaders in the company lack empathy, and are extremely disorganized. TouchBistro reminded me of being back in elementary school. It’s clique, and the air is full of whispers, or “ secret” g chat conversations about fellow staff members. Tension is palpable the moment you walk in. Several members of the HR staff are not approachable. When staff ask questions to the HR team they are often met with condescending remarks, and attitude. This team might be resourceful, however several members are unaware of how to treat human beings with respect and compassion. In my experience TouchBistro is not a good place to work, there are better environments out there. I would not recommend TouchBistro.

Pros

very supportive and kind staff, everyone was nice and stuff, work was flexible and wasn't overwhelming. If you like sales you'll like them

Cons

Territory dependant, trying to sell restaurant equipment in nyc depends ALOT on where your selling it. for example restaurants serving neighborhoods that primarily speak languages other than english prefer a POS system that is written in their language. In flushing you need options in several chinese dialects and POS services made for chinese speakers have that option, you cannot make Flushing the bulk of someone's sales territory. The same is true for spanish in Jackson Heights. my territory had consistently had the worst results, long before it was assigned to me. Every MDR who had it proir was eventually laid off for making no headway, it was a miracle I got anywhere and I had to push for additional territory. Compensation partially dependant on commission and had to eventually leave for different company with more fertile territory
