Pros

A lot of genuinely great people there, and the amenities on the main campus are great.

Cons

Not catered to younger professionals. They won't take you seriously as a younger person, and you'll start to see gray in your hair before you feel like you're really being compensated for your talent and expertise, in my opinion. It's not a place that you want to stay for more than 3 years. Just get your experience and leave for another institution that'll really appreciate your talent and experience. There aren't a lot of opportunities for younger professionals, especially LEAD associates, to advance into. And if there are, you might be gaslit into believing that a position somehow aligns with your future goals and interests. You'll see your peers get leapfrogged over you, which happens in every organization, but for one as tight-knit as this, you'll see that the favoritism can happen way more often than usual. They tend to place LEAD associates into a box, and steer them towards a position that you yourself don't want.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. As part of our strategic approach to career succession, we are committed to developing early-career professionals. The LEAD departmental rotations, along with connections to experienced Towne family members and leaders, are designed to strengthen skills, support long-term growth, and provide an immersive experience into our culture. We are proud that our LEAD program has produced a strong pipeline of talent, with many graduates advancing into key roles across Towne, including treasury, technology, retail, private banking, commercial, insurance and mortgage, and human resources. These outcomes reflect our commitment to meaningful career pathways. In addition, we maintain a robust internal job posting and career development process, encouraging all family members to apply, with selections based on qualifications, experience, and readiness. We continue to strengthen our LEAD program efforts to ensure those entering management are well prepared to lead effectively and champion our culture of caring. We appreciate your contributions during your time with us and wish you continued success in your career.
