Pros

The only Pro I can think of is the fact that I gained some good friends who were my co-workers who all shared the same soul crushing experience at Toywiz.

Cons

The warehouse EDI is way out of date. Like late 90's out of date. It makes warehousing extremely difficult The warehouse is dirty and unsafe. Managers over ordering inventory results in blocking fire exits and fire sprinkle systems. It also limits forklift access. There have been cases where pallets have fallen from the top of the pallet rack. I worked there for 2 years it's happened at least 5 times. Management is extremely abusive to the point physical threats. Upper management often use and hide behind their company status to do and say what they want to the point of belligerent, child like tantrums. This includes pounding on the desks, throwing garbage cans and breaking shelves. This goes on WITH the owner's knowledge and usually unfolds in front of his desk while he is sitting there. Hostile does not describe the work environment enough. It was by far, the worst company that I have worked for. I tell people the specific experiences I've had there and they were stunned that toywiz gets away with that kind of behavior.

Pros

We work with comics, card games, action figures and nerdy collectibles, so that frames the culture pretty well. It gets hectic and stressful during the holidays, but everyone works overtime to get things done. If you're knowledgeable, motivated and take initiative, you can advance with the company.

Cons

We sell toys online during the Christmas season, so it gets crazy with long hours and lots of pressure. You need to move quickly to keep up with expectations.

Pros

Other than employee discounts & weekends off, I really can't think of one.

Cons

Low rate of pay with NO chance of any real advancement. Middle management (which runs the roost) is abusive to staff to the point of belligerence. I have witnessed them: yell, scream and curse at employees. They slam doors, bang their fists on desks and murmur under their breath about employees in their presence to make them uncomfortable. They throw tantrums as well as merchandise, and on one occasion a garbage pail. With my own ears I heard a manager threaten an employee with being 'Punched in the face.' The owner refuses to get involved when employees approach him for aid, stating he would rather 'You settle things on your own with management.',(Because they are his 'Money Makers') and makes no effort to instill a non-abusive environment, choosing to go to 'Lunch' or out for a while til things calm down.
